Tellcase asks for no name, no email and no account.

What we keep

• Playing a case stores nothing about you. The parts you flag and your call are scored and shown back to you, then forgotten.
• A Case Book stores the name you give it (optional), each case's first score, how often you played it and when. We store only a scrambled form (SHA-256) of the link's key, so a lost link cannot be looked up. The full link does appear in the web server's access logs for as long as the host keeps them. Books not opened for 400 days are deleted; you can delete yours at any time from its page.
• Abuse limits count requests per address, per network and for the whole site, by the hour or the day. Addresses and networks are stored only as a salted scramble, and the counts are deleted after two days.
• Cookies: pages with a form set one security cookie (to stop forged form posts). No tracking, no advertising and no analytics cookies.
• Backups: the database is copied every night (each copy is kept for 14 days) and each time the site is updated (those copies are kept longer, on the server and in WeldonPC's office, to recover from a fault). A deleted or expired Case Book can stay in those copies until they are removed; they are private and used only to restore the site.

Payments

Payments are not switched on (free during preview). When they are, PayPal handles them; we will keep only what is needed to know a pass is paid.
