About
A back room, built by WeldonPC.com
Tellcase lives at weldonpc.co, a short walk from WeldonPC.com. It is a small, deliberately hidden extra for WeldonPC clients who find their way here, and it is open to anyone else who does.
What it is
A daily practice case: a made-up message, call, pop-up, page or sign, and the question every real one asks of you: is this a scam? The file holds 24 cases, a mix of scams and perfectly normal messages, because knowing what normal looks like matters as much as spotting a fake.
What is real and what is not
Every company, person, phone number and link in the cases is invented. Web addresses end in .example, which is set aside for examples and never belongs to anyone; phone numbers use the 555-0100 to 555-0199 range set aside for fiction. The patterns are real ones. For official advice, the field guide links to the US Federal Trade Commission's pages it draws on.
How it is made
The cases were written by an AI (Claude Opus 5.5) for Tellcase in October 2026. No AI runs on the site itself: your score is worked out by the site's own code. What you flag is used only to score your answer; it is not kept or shared (a Case Book keeps only the score). Tellcase is a practice game, not a security service: for a message you are unsure about right now, stop and check through a number or address you already trust.
